Itās possible! The way he talked about it, and all the withdrawals are just a weird coincidence to meā¦ he was also apparently the 72nd golfer to commit to the tournament, filling out the field.
I could very much see him getting a text saying āHey, it would help us out if you played in this, itās a guaranteed checkā and him agreeing to playā¦ I donāt think itās some vast conspiracy, he qualified for it with his win, so it was going to be a last minute decisionā¦ Iām just curious if the PGA knew it was going to have multiple withdrawals before Max agreed to play in it.
He got in because heās now in the top 50 - he was 91st then jumped up to 38th with the win.

By the tournament leaderboard, I made some decent picks this week, but in the actual scoring not so much. Hatton chipping in for two birdies definitely helped some folks.

No longer a friend of Steele. I start him round 1 and he has my lowest score. Bench him in rounds 2 and 4 where he has the highest score of any of my 6. Easily cost me 50 points.
