Kudos to me… Thomas and Bryson both missed the cut? I’m still shocked.
It’s an interesting tournament field, and I have a lot of golf balls next to big players names… Honestly, it’s almost harder to pick simply because so many good guys are playing.
Obviously, the tournament will be won by some 22 year old I’ve never heard of!
Even harder being a new course I know nothing about so hard to match up players with the style of course. I’m hoping Rory doesn’t stink again due to another pool I’m in but I’m not taking him in this.
I know Bryson won NCAA’s here, but that was before the bulk up and not sure if the course requires accuracy off the tee or not (seems like good amount of water in play)

Last week, my easy / lazy picks (JT and Bryon) didn’t make the cut and my heart pick (Max) won… though, he’s from LA and it’s his favorite tournament…
My picks are all mostly lazy this week… but it’s a stacked field. Hopefully it’s a good tournament!

I set my roster Monday and everyone except one player I had is now not playing. So I have one guy for the week, can’t add anyone else. So crazy.

That sucks! I wonder what happened with it… Homa on Monday basically mentioned he was going to race down there to play but did not really explain why.
Probably because he wasn’t previously qualified and I think it’s a guaranteed payday with no cut - I would try to get there as fast as possible!
Good thing there’s no cut (hopefully) so I can play 4 guys each round.

That’s just plain unlucky. I lost three guys to sudden withdraws one time last year, but haven’t ever seen that many.

I mean, he’s made 1.6 million thus far this year… obviously he’s playing well, but I can’t imagine a guaranteed check for 32k covered the cost of a private jet to get there.
I don’t know, though! I just thought it was interesting because he said on the podcast basically he was going to go out but didn’t have time to play a practice round…
If they hadn’t had a ton of withdrawals, I wouldn’t have thought twice about it.
Pretty sure 32k would cover the flight no problem (though don’t think he flew private based on his twitter). He’s playing well so why not go play (plus guaranteed money).
He may not have realized he qualified until his hangover wore off when he got home
