Other good story - I nearly took out Vijay when I was about 13.
Went to Sawgrass (before remodeled clubhouse) and my dad let me drive the cart. We were heading to the range. The old cart area had a narrow lane for carts to go down to the course. I was driving towards it and all of the sudden another cart came in from the left that I didn’t see and barely beat me to the lane. The driver glared back at me (big guy) and I looked down at the back of their cart and there was a big tour bag that said “Vijay Singh”
Thankfully he was with his son and wasn’t hyped up on deer antler spray at that point so didn’t come yelling.

My dad claims I stole the Claret Jug (briefly) as a teenager… Justin Leonard’s dad was a member at Northwood (my home course as a teenager) so he left the Claret Jug in the pro shop for a week or so… my father says he drove up and I was taking it to my car to “show my friends” (in his story, he told me this was a bad idea and I returned it)… I would have been 16 and THINK I’d remember stealing it. But that’s an odd story for my dad to make up.
I probably joked about stealing it with him? I don’t know… The Leonard family was super nice, though…

Apparently spyglass playing easier than pebble today (as compared to yesterday) - of course it is when I shifted my lineup to be more pebble heavy
