Golf Sub 70 Clubs

Thanks jay! What’s wedge availability look like? The list on the website seemed bare.

Should I mix the jb and the 295? Or just go jb?

I want a high bounce 54 sand wedge and a lower bounce 58 wedge.

Yeah we had a first batch come in and it’s been picked through pretty heavily. We should have a full selection of finishes, lofts, bounce options, etc in the next week or two. I would probably go with the JB lineup all the way through if you want a low and high bounce option. Then you’ll be working with the same sole, grind, etc.

Sounds good. I’ll probably order two , just email the sales team? Which might just be you at a different email address.

Yep you can always call or email [email protected] as well

I think I’m going to go with one of each, mostly because I want to try both options… 54 sand wedge in the 295, jb 58 low bounce…

I’m kicking around which shaft I want, but leaning towards the s300… my sub70 5 iron has a s400, the rest of my irons have project x 6.0s but they are pulls and I think they ended up hard stepped to create the right lengths…

My next set of irons will have s400s, I’m just not sure when that will be.

Thanks jay! Jason told me the mixed set sounded like a good idea, so I’m not just ignoring you, I promise!

:joy: No worries! I’ll default to Jason on the fitting stuff

I had the opportunity to visit Sub 70 HQ a couple years ago to get an up-close look at how they do business. They are a very small company, which is not a criticism, but rather a testament to their growth while keeping costs low. I like them, I think they are good for the game, and my conversations with owner Jason H. taught me a lot.

Nice! I’ve ordered the two wedges, just waiting on them to get the heads.

Wedges paid for… we shall see how they work!

I also sent a note to Jason to let me know when the fixed hosel hybrids were in… I guess I’ll just replace all the adams stuff with sub70 products…

Hopefully Jason can get me on an exclusive course somewhere!

I assume you’re talking about the 949 hybrids? I’m interested in those as well. I’ve been gaming 18.5 and 21.5 Taylormade RBZ Tours since about 2012. They still work but who wants 9 year old clubs in their bag?

I’m really interested in the new Sub70 Hybrids. I like the idea of “anti-left.”

Haven’t had a chance to put my sub70’s to work on the course yet, but I love the feedback I’m getting from them indoors. Love the way they look at set up and the way the ball comes off of the face.

Maybe? I believe they are coming out with a fixed hosel hybrid. That is what I’m interested in.

Hey @Sub70_Jay , when are you going to have demo sets of the new muscle backs? Those clubs look great.

Hey Will thanks for the message! We had a first run of heads come in and right now we’re just making sure those get out to pre-orders and orders that came in over the last week or so. As long as we have enough heads we’ll start building up some demos…just not 100% sure when that will be depending on order volume. I’m sure we’ll also get something out on social media once they are built and available. Thanks again!

Hey Jay - as long as we have you, can you tell us what is coming for Hybrids? I think there’s a 949 “anti-left” hybrid. Is there anything else coming down too?

Yeah we should have the 949 Pro hybrid in the next 4-6 weeks. That’s all that’s in the pipeline for hybrids at the moment. I’m sure we’re testing and developing some stuff for the future but I haven’t heard of a new model besides the 949 Pro for 2021. If we come up with something that offers better performance and/or fills a need that we currently don’t fill then we’ll definitely get it in the hopper asap…but for 2021 we’ll have the 939X and 949 Pro options

The 949 Pro is going to be a fixed hosel design, right?
