Harassed sub70 about a visor on Twitter… this was Jason’s (the founder and owner) response…

Really love doing business with them.

They are definitely a good group of individuals. Can’t wait for the thaw so I can play those clubs outside. Hitting against the wall is getting boring. Hahahaha. Although I’m back home in Vegas for the week with my Mizuno’s they’ll be getting some work this week. I honestly believe I’m going to like my Sub70’s over the mizunos. I really like the way they look at address and the way the ball flies off of the face.

@Sub70_Jay did you guys move to ups? My package is shipped via them.

Just depends on the package but most stuff has been going UPS for sure

Understood… Sad you guys can’t rely on the usps as much anymore!

My wedges will be In Tuesday though! I’m pretty excited.

Yeah we definitely still use USPS quite a bit and will even more on the apparel side…just more reliable with the bigger packages through UPS. Hope you enjoy the new wedges! Thanks!

Waiting on the TA3’s in Black…any idea when I can start ordering them ?

We talked a month or two ago about these and you said your guys were still working on trying the get the finish done to prevent the micro-cracking when adjusting lofts and lies. I’m assuming that has all been worked out now.

I live in Canada and had also reached out to your distributor (Jim) there and he was hoping he’d have the heads by April but I’m looking for something more concrete (and preferably earlier so I can get them in the bag before my season starts).

Thanks !

Late this past week I just heard March for the TAIII in black and satin. I’m thinking that’s mid-March so 3ish weeks from now. I’m sure we will get some heads up to Jim and his team asap. Thanks!

I’m really curious about these… not sure if I’m going to a mostly sub70 bag this season, but it’s definitely possible.

Well, the Sub70 takeover of my bag continues… Got the 2 new wedges 2 days ago, and they are everything I’d hope they would be… Ended up in a 286 54 degree and a JB 58 degree.

Overall thought was to have a higher bounce sand wedge to do most of my work with. Enough bounce for sand traps, but plenty playable in my usual course conditions… I haven’t tried it out of a bunker yet, but it’s great around the greens…

The 58 is awesome, and I love the bounce, grind and overall design of the wedge… It opens up perfectly and will be used to attempt the finesse shots I occasionally find myself needing… short sided pins, carrying bunkers… over trees…

Jason, true to his word, made sure I got a visor with the clubs… I’m really excited about the visor. I usually prefer the velcro smaller visors (Titleist makes my favorite style of visor) but the old school Sub70 white visor with the strap is pretty fun… I’v already worn twice on the course. I might still buy a minor league baseball team visor for a “fun” visor (SC Lightning Bugs or Rocket City Trash Pandas are the two top contenders)… they also included some stickers, tees, ball markers and i believe a cell phone wallet sticker?

Sadly, I need a different sticker to put on the golf cart… I don’t drink anymore, so the rocks glass sticker isn’t a great fit for my cart!

I have the JB 58LB (as mentioned way back in this thread) and was going to order a 54 with more bounce to round out my wedges. How did you decide between the 286 and the JB 54? It’s honestly hard to tell the difference from the sub70 website. I love my jb a lot so I’d love your @Craigers reasoning before i pull the trigger.

I have the JB 58LB and the 54 286 and really like the combo.

My goal was to have a higher bounce option in the 54, and I didn’t plan to manipulate the club face a ton. I knew I was going to pair it with the low bounce 58, so I went with the 286.

I like the combination. I’m not sure if the 54 JB would be much different, but if I were to order them again, I’d go with the same combination. I’ve only practiced with the wedges thus far, but they do everything I’ve asked them to do… I think you’d be fine either way, but I really like the 286 as my sand wedge…

The 54 is now 1/1 in Sand Saves.

This will end my publicly tracking this stat.

Seriously, though, just played 5 holes and the wedges flat out performed (I had to use them too much, but that’s a different issue!)

Just ordered a 54 – I went with the JB despite the perfect record with @Craigers 's 286. They were pretty similar spec wise and I love my 58 so if the shoe fits…

Big mistake. Can’t beat perfection… did I mention it was a fried egg lie?

I’m sure the jb will be great!

Spoke with Jason today… the Pro Hybrids should be in next week… I didn’t call dibs on an 18 degree, but I plan on getting one built.

@Sub70_Jay Can I call dibs? Does that still work?

Seems fair to me. We are a Chicago area company where dibs is most definitely a real thing…so I think we’ll have to honor that one
