I still carry my 5i…as my 4H gets finicky sometimes. I hit the 4H too far on some par 3’s as well…so I added a 2ironwood and love it off the tee. It fits right in between the 4H and 5i…but never hit it off the grass…just tee shots. I don’t carry a 3 wood, so it fits my needs even though it’s not too versatile. Got is for like $100 or so from Tour Edge.

The 3W is definitely out, out, out. That end of my bag is D, 5W, 3H. Since I’ve moved up to forward tees (5,800) I have no need for the aggravation of not heeling a 3W. I’m going to get no worse than bogey, either way, I just don’t need to put up with the 3Ws recalcitrance.

4-iron out and 22-degree Cleveland Hybore hybrid (my oldest club) is back in. I could work on hitting the 4-iron but the hybrid is just so much easier.
I also traded my 52 and 56 wedges in for 54 & 58 since my GW is 50 degrees. So now I have much better wedge gaps.

You reminded me that I so need to get fitted for a driver, @kenk. I hit it…OK, with a touch more distance on average than my 3W, but my 3W is just so much easier to hit when I slow down. Off the deck, barely there stub tee, it does fine, provided I don’t try to kill it. 235-245 carry—per the monitor—straight or a touch draw, and some roll too. Oddly, more roll than a lot of my driver strikes.
After the irons modifications I mentioned in other posts, my 7W and old 21 degree ‘Raylor’ TM rescue club have both been sidelined. Off grass, 3I now has 132-134 ball speed, straight, hair fade (I may have overdone it a tad on building up the grip size), and stops. I’m very interested to see what happens now on the course.

2 iron is taking a vacation from my golf bag and replaced by a 3 hybrid.
Considering to persuade the 3 iron to follow the 2 iron and replacing it with the 4 hybrid.
3 wood been on a short vacation and taking leave of absence from time to time when the 4 wood could cover the slot.
