Glad to be here HOPE I can contribute… AND mostly learn from others.

I have a lot of experience in the area of putting. Specifically identifying strengths and weaknesses, assessment, and building practice plans. I have written a book titled, “Make More Putts”, coach a couple college golf teams, have materials in on online training program for juniors, …

For three of the last four years, I have travelled to a state and played all the courses in that state that Golfweek Magazine lists as Best Courses You Can Play. I have done Florida, Nebraska, and South Carolina, along with several in New York state. With COVID 19, I had to cancel this year’s trip to Delaware, and starting on Pennsylvania.

Sometime next week, I will share the weekly putting assessment/drills that are used by one of the community college teams where I help their coach. We put together a 60 minute plan of drills/assessments that would test their skills

These assessments are done every Friday, and results reported to the coach.

Thank you for starting this have always enjoyed your articles and can’t wait to see what else comes of this.

Any thoughts on having a For Sale / Trade subforum?

I won a bronze SpiderX putter last fall, and used it for most of this year. Looks good, feels good, I just never had good results with it. Went back to my old putter and instantly improved 2-3 strokes per round.

I should probably just ebay it but I’ve never really done any ebay selling.

hello all, looking forward to the banter

Super excited. I used to be a part of Two plus Two when I got to play a lot of poker and it was fun sharing ideas. Things I would love would be to create a bank of great golf courses from around the country for under $100. I love to golf but I just dont have the money to be blowing on $200+ courses. I want to play great golf course that are not super expensive. I know they are out there and I want to find the best. Maybe make the greatest 100 under $100 list.

This is great! I often skip over a lot of stuff I see on Twitter/internet sites because of the negativity. I do enjoy your posts and emails/newsletters so I am really looking forward to this.

I think having a list of courses like this is a great idea. My wife and I like to travel and I’m always trying to find somewhere to play that isn’t overpriced or just not worth the cost!

Perhaps the courses could be categorized by the cost. If I know the course is worth it I don’t mind paying a little more!

I think the great thing about this forum is that the participants have been qualified a bit…

Because much of your golf advice is essentially “eat your broccoli”, I think it will attract a certain type of player. Probably a bit analytical, probably interested in improvement, also interested in trying to get small advantages to get better.

I have always been turned off by how golf wrx is such a free for all

there is a “hidden gems” thread running…

as folks continue posting it should be consolidated into a sticky / wiki at some point @jon

Thanks - that’s exactly what I’m going for here!

Hi everyone!! I’m looking forward to this board! Thanks @jon for creating this!!
