The Golf Contest Thread

Being reitred, I have a lot of time to find and enter contests to win golf equipment, gear, etc. Thought it would be good to have a thread to be able to share contests with others in case they would like to enter them.

I will make the first entry in this thread. Golfers Authority is currently running a contest where they are giving away $13,000 in golf-related prizes from a ton of manufacturers among 3 winners. The entry deadline is 10/4 so get your entry in quickly.

Next Up.

Rock Bottom Golf runs monthly contests where they give away at least three solid prizes. This month it is three SkyCaddie GPS Devices to three winners.

If you find any giveaways for a Pellet Grill, let me know!

Also, as a tip, if you have a GMAIL address, you can add a + and whatever you want and it will still go to your e-mail…

So I used [email protected] for things like this, so I can quickly block someone if they get spammy.

I use a completely seperate email account just to enter contests for that very reason. Go in about once a week and wipe it out with rarely rarely opening any.

That is a great tip that I knew absolutely nothing about!

Hey Scott and fellow golf contest guru! lol Curious how you remember to enter this one each day. I have a reoccurring reminder set up on my phone that pops up each AM. My wife thinks I’m nuts…which is probably true. BUT I think I have entered this one every day for over 2 years straight… ONE DAY IT WILL BE MINE!! HA. Cheers

Great to see you here buddy. I end up missing a few days throught the month. When you are retired, you don’t have a whole lot else occupying your mind so it makes it easier to remember. But, with that said, I have been entering their monthly contests for well over 3 years, I’m sure, and have yet to win a darn thing. I do know a few people that have scored some prizes so I know the contests are legit.

Sorry guys, but most “contests” are just clickbait for email lists. Your odds are better in the lottery and it will take up a lot less of your time.

My inbox is flooded and odds of winning are so small I had to stop doing it.

I have a lot better luck, in regards to winning, in contests strictly over social media. Have won a few nice prizes over the years in “email” contests though.

It’s too bad that Golfers Authority didn’t split that $13K in prizes over more than 3 winners.

True. They probably could have gone like $5k for the grand prize winner then $1k each for 8 other winners or something like that so more people would have realized the fruits of their labor.

Wasa: I just read your post on “click bait” and agree 100%.

I’ve got a Traeger Pro 22 I’d sell to you pretty cheap. Less than 15 cooks on it.
My wife surprised me with a Pro 575 a while ago and apparently I “don’t need two.”

I feel like shipping might kill this idea.

Meet halfway? Golf on the way. It could work.

I can wait til spring… convince your wife you need to play Valhalla.

I like where your head’s at. My wife is super cool about golf, so easy sell.

I’m glad you shared this contest already William. I feel like that’s good karma. I was going to do it, but you beat me to the punch.
