I just got my SkyTrak and I’m in the process of finishing off a room in the garage to isolate and heat. So far, the SkyTrak is really awesome, way better than the OptiShot (by a long way) and the Mevo, both of which I sold to help pay for the SkyTrak.
Optishot
The Optishot has cameras before and after, built into the mat, and picks up on basic club data only. If you hit down on the ball it will sense a slower transition from rear to front camera. If you swing fast, it is really bad. I had several “400 yard drives” that hooked 150 yards. Also, if your room isn’t dim with a light shining directly down on the cameras and a shiny club sole, you may see inaccuracies or missed shots.
Mevo
The Mevo is really a decent device. It is doppler, so you put it 6’ behind you and hit balls. Works really well at the range and does a decent job for wedge distance practice too. I had trouble aligning it (I’m thinking the doppler pattern is pretty tight compared to a wide Trackman or Flightscope) and it wasn’t consistent with picking up my drives. It works decent indoors but you don’t get a lot of ways to use the numbers.
Mevo+
I have never owned a Mevo+ but I went with SkyTrak simply because the Mevo+ needs to be placed 15’ behind the ball. I don’t have that kind of room after I account for a net, a mat, etc.
