Unless they are very new, I’m finding it impossible to determine when a particular model or line of golf clubs first came out. Internet searches didn’t find it out for me. Even just the well known brands, not looking for esoterica here. Any ideas how to find out?
The PGA value guide tends to be the best bet IMO. Search for club name PGA value guide and it should be the first result. That page will have the year of introduction if available. Assuming they are not TOO old, you can also search club name reviews on Google and see when the majority of reviews were published. This gives a rough estimate as well.
One issue with the question is that the concept of the big manufacturers introducing a new club line every year (or multiple times per year) is a relatively new thing. For smaller brands, the same name & design can carry on for several years.
If you call the manufacturer with the serial number on a club they can tell you when that club was manufactured. I assume they would also know when that model of club was first made.
What irons are you playing?
Irons & wedges made in 2020.
2nd swing has most dates listed, if they’re a name brand.
A Google search for the particular brand and model will usually give you that information.
Ladies’ Golden Bear Powercurve - 1,3,5 woods, 4-9 irons, sand wedge. Shaft says ultralight graphite (I hit these woods /irons better so far, than same numbers from the following brands, which for some reason are shorter from heel to toe)
7 wood - Lady Tour Scorcher
Pitching wedge: Lady Edge
Putter: Pro Select NXT
6 hybrid: Lady Edge Tour Edge. (which is the only brand I found still for sale at golf resale places) You see I’ve been trying to get full set of clubs together…
