Hey forum, I hope this can truly help someone out who’s into golf launch monitors. Recently they’ve been helping me and some friends improve on the course. I know it’s a lot of overwhelming information out there, and I want to narrow it down. Here are the best golf launch monitors currently. My opinion by the way. Lol.
1. Foresight Sports GC3 Launch Monitor
Ok so up first is none other than the Foresight Sports GC3. The reason why this is my number one is because of the accuracy and I can use it outdoors and indoors and get the same data. Also, you pay up front for all the software. That’s right, no subscriptions for FSX. You get FSX 2020, FSX Play, and the touchscreen is built in. I’ve used this multiple times and the feedback is instant. You know if your swing was trash or not as soon as you hit it. Perfect for someone who takes their practice seriously but doesn’t want to spend crazy money.
2. Foresight Sports GCQuad Launch Monitor
The Foresight Sports GCQuad is the big dog, but it’s for those who are really serious I would say. That’s why you have that high 15k price. The accuracy is top tier, and the putting add-on is spot on. No matter if you’re using the fiducial stickers, you’ll get all the data you need. This is really like the best on the market. I’ve seen PGA pros using this exact model. And I’ve used it too—it’s scary accurate. Club path, face angle, strike location—you name it, it tells you. It’s not for casual golfers, but if you want a tour-level tool, this is it.
3. Bushnell Launch Pro Launch Monitor
Third is the Bushnell Launch Pro. Think of the Foresight GC3 without the included software. I would highly highly recommend this option for those who are beginners or intermediate for sure. Even high level players. It’s something that’s affordable, but highly sought after since it’s $1,999. You can get your hands on one at The Indoor Golf Shop while you still have a chance. This was my go-to for over a year. It’s ball data only unless you upgrade, but if you’re practicing carry distance, spin, launch angle—it gives you exactly what you need.
4. FlightScope Mevo+ Launch Monitor
Now this one right here surprised me. The FlightScope Mevo+. I had it out on the range and indoors in the net, and for a radar-based unit, it’s pretty solid. The only thing is you need a good amount of ball flight for accurate readings, so if you’re trying to use it in a tight garage, this isn’t the one. But outdoors, it’s legit. Plus, with the Pro Package you get way more data parameters than you’d expect for this price. I had a buddy use it in a sim league and his numbers lined up closely with the GC3.
5. Uneekor EYE MINI Launch Monitor
Uneekor EYE MINI is next. I’m gonna be honest, I didn’t expect to like this one as much. But the fact it’s portable and still uses high-speed cameras for tracking? Big win for me. And the Club Optix feature where you can see your club hit the ball in slow-mo? Super helpful. The spin numbers were consistent, and I didn’t have to mark my balls. I’d say this is perfect for someone who wants a semi-permanent setup they can move if needed.
6. Full Swing KIT Launch Monitor
The Full Swing KIT. If you’ve seen Tiger use it, yeah, this is that one. It’s a radar unit, so it needs space, but the video feedback is fire. You get club and ball data, plus slow-motion replays from behind. I used it outdoors mainly, and the distance and spin were solid. If you’re into stats and want to see your swing too, this is your guy.
Last but not least—SkyTrak+. This is probably the most popular one out there for golfers trying to build a home sim setup without breaking the bank. The new version is way more accurate than the old SkyTrak, especially with club data now included. It’s photometric, so you can use it in tighter spaces. I had a couple who built out a home gym and added this for golf practice—it worked perfectly. It connects with GSPro and E6 too. It’s fun and functional.
Recap
That’s my list. If you’ve been on the fence about launch monitors, I hope this helps. I’ve used all of these either personally or with clients. Trust me, no fluff here. These are the ones I’d vouch for.
Let me know what you’re currently using or thinking about getting. Always curious to hear what’s working for others.
