Striking my Driver on the Heel - Help!

Good Afternoon Practical Golf Family, I’m starting to pay attention to my strike tendencies. My problem is that I am striking the heel of my driver, with some to the center. Are there any drills you guys have used that have been helpful?

Check your weight. Is it on your toes? If so, rebalance and give it a whirl. I always check my weight first when I get heely.

I have the exact tendency, any advice will be appreciated.

Have you tried to hit the toe of the club? Consciously try to hit the toe and see how it feels and where your impact is. It should help you find the center or at least give you better feel on where you are hitting the ball.

Shamelessly stolen from Adam young.

I’m not sure about C-Dubb but I was the other day and I kept hitting it in the heel even when trying to hit it on the toe. Not sure if I should aim at a different spot try ,to hit the inside part of the ball, or what it should feel like.

Coming over the top is the only reason I ever hit it on the heel.

You could try and change your set up slightly, moving the ball more towards the toe.

Or just try to hit the ball with the toe might help.

I’m with Bigdadenergy. I have this issue, every time it’s balance, or in my case, lack thereof.
Get more centered, ie slight more weight on your heels, hold your finish and check balance. If you’re falling forward, you just hit off the heel.

I was listening to an old episode of on the mark podcast with Jake Hutt and he said for this instance if trying to hit the ball on the toe doesn’t result in a change from the heel, try missing the ball.

I went to the range today and started implementing some of the tips and…It’s getting better. I have to stay with it though, it’s going to make for a fun winter.

I have the same problem and the best solution for me is just addressing the ball lined up more on the toe. I like my swing right now and don’t want to tinker with it until the weather turns crappy, so it does the job.
