Square grooves rule

Are square grooves illegal per the USGA, or will
They be soon? It did they reverse that rule?

The 2010 groove rule will be in place for all of us starting in 2024. As far as I know, clubs with non-compliant grooves haven’t been produced since 2010.

Thanks, played w my old volkeys. Yesterday and really like them. Guess I can play with them a few more years

As long as you’re not playing in a high level event, like USGA national events. If there’s any question, the Local Rules for the tournament should make it clear.
