Perfect Practice on Tile

Got tired of practicing my putting in the basement. So, I moved my Perfect Practice Mat to a seldom-used 2nd floor family room. But, the carpet was to thick, and, I noticed my putter slightly indented into the mat. I had some tile left over from a bathroom remodel. I laid five 12”x24” tiles down and then the mat on top. Worked great. Now, if I could only putt.

Great idea with the tile.
1 can you tell if it makes it faster?
2 did it even out any dips or turns?

Haha, I have some left over tile in my garage… might have to see if I can do something similar.

Good idea. I have 24’ indoor/outdoor carpet in the cellar. Being on concrete makes it a little quick and erratic. ½ rear-ended stimp meter i made gives me about a 9. May have showed this pic b4, but anyhoo …

Don’t have a pic, but I have a mat just like the Perfect Practice one, and put some ply under it plus some cardboard shims to level it out. Works much more nicely on the more consistent surface under it!

Oh… also using another piece of the same thickness ply to stand on.

Not sure if faster. But, it definitely makes it more even, with no dips.
