Life Factoids Outside of Golf

There are quite a few Giants fans in CT. Sadly I root for the Cowboys. When I was little my aunt lived in TX and sent me all sorts of Cowboys stuff. My dad is not a football fan (loves basketball and we root for the Celtics and UConn) and apparently my aunt knew the Cowboys stuff would annoy her father (Jets fan). I was a bought and paid for Dallas fan at an early age

@Mell1313 and @Kaplack as a Dolphins fan, I feel your pain too, I know you guys know that all too well. I won’t diss on your team, but I am happy with direction my Phins are going.

sounds like you need another marriage or more kids to have some good luck for the giants

Those complaining about your football teams: the Lions have won a single playoff game in my dad’s lifetime. I’m having trouble working up sympathy for other teams. Indeed, I’ve questioned whether I’m being ethical passing this fandom down to my sons.

May be one of those “pave your own path” situations for the kiddos.
My son unfortunately will be forced to be an Iowa football fan and be happy with 7-5 or 8-4 every year. He doesn’t have a choice.

I just saw this thread…lol! I’m in Salt Lake City, Ut (ie…no NFL teams)…so I’ve been a Lions fan since Luther Ellis from Utah played there. Loved the Barry Sanders years for pure entertainment, but what a horrible choice I made…wasn’t even forced into it by geography or family. I’m just stupid…

I barely chose better in MLB …as I’m a Mets fan. Long story….basically, I suck at picking teams to root for.
