How is everyone? I do miss the forum! It’s here, but really has weakened! Has anyone jumped to another discussion forum? If so I would love to hear from you!

I’m good although my car has been broken down for a few months. I am relying on other members who live nearby to get a lift so instead of my usual 9 rounds a fortnight, I am only playing 6. Haven’t gone anywhere and after averaging 18over for 2 months, this month back to playing 14-15 over. Had an ace a few months ago but nobody responed so I knew the forum was in a bad way.

Congratulations on the ACE! It’s a cool thing…

I don;t know if you looked up that post but that round started double double, quardrouple bogey to be 8 over after 3 then finished 16 over proving to myself again that you should never give up hope. Started with shanks but recovered.

An Ace is an Ace. It’s many players Holy Grail. My uncle, who was a decent player for 50 years passed away without one. I have had 3 and one Albatross. One of the most difficult things I ever did playing this sport was NOT TO PULL/HOOK my next next tee shot after one of my more accurate approach shots found the bottom of the cup. I have probably had over 50 approaches on Par 4’s that dropped for deuces in my 44 year playing career. My ringer round at my old course when I was playing alot looked like this. 2-3-2-3-2-3-2-3-2=22 2-2-2-2-3-2-3-2-2=20 46. Could you imagine putting that together on a card in a real round? Look— just keep swinging away. It’s THE BEST GAME IN THE WORLD! We gotta find a different Forum… I miss the banter with all you fellas and a few ladies! Less than 60 days until SPRING!

The club gave me a framed certificate and celebrated my achievement in the weekly email. If I was in the comp I would have got a decorative metal disk to hang on my bag with the hole no and date on the back. On Friday twice I hit my 9hcp playing partners club after he had his shot to test out his club and hit 2 straight shots with a penetrating ball flight. He later thanked me for showing how his irons are supposed to be hit. His clubs have more offset than mine which must have pushed my hands forward. If he tries hit my clubs the shots all go right instead of his normal draw and I think it is because he isn’t used to no offset.

If you send a note to the ball manufacturer if it’s like Titleist they will also send you some token

I never use the same ball so have no idea what ball I used

I assume it was a Titleist right? Titleist!

No every time I use a pro v1 I slice it out of bounds. Anything but a Titleist. Played well yesterday. 9 pars and a birdie with 11 one putts. Had some amazing up and downs. Shot 9 over. My birdie was from about 50m on a par 5 and I pitched a 7i to a green above me. It looked like it landed just on and then it ran up to the top level where the pin was to 8 ft. Last hole another par 5. 4th shot a 7i pitch that came out low and runny and ran up to pin high and another 8 footer for par. Was too high and then turned in at the hole. Best short game day in a long time. Hole 1 and 3 went down banks at the back short siding myself. 1 I hit the pin and bounced to 10 ft and 3 my pitch landed into the bank and bounced on softly to 5 ft and on a downhill putt my putt went in the side door. All up I only hit 3 gir

I don’t think you are quite understanding what I’m saying. It was probably a Titleist. So, you go online and register your feat with THE TITLEIST you used on that hole. Because it was probably a TITLEIST Ball… Cuz 93% of us use TITLEIST Balls… They send you cool stuff… because you used a TITLEIST BALL! I hope I’m making sense to you! Check it out
