Winter regime for the physical side of the game

I am considering adding the book to my ‘golf book’ section, but I would certainly read it yup!

Using myself as a reference point:

-My gaming swing speed is usually 115-118mph and if I swing all out, I can get it into the low 120s pretty much on demand.
-I’m not small, but at 6’0 195, I’m not exactly big either. I also have short arms (5’10 wingspan)
-I can’t bench more than 135.
-I can’t do a pull-up
-I can do 5 sit-ups max.
-I can do 12 push-ups max
-Have a 24-inch vertical (pretty much the only respectable benchmark)
-Poor lower body flexibility
-Average upper body flexibility

If my weak body can produce 115+ mph swing speeds than I’m sure most men are strong enough to do so as well.

That being said, I got the fit for golf app and am trying to get a lot stronger over the winter. Given how out of shape I am right now, it seems like it should low hanging fruit.

See and I’m 5’10” 215. Built a little like a Mac Truck. I lift very heavy things. I’m semi-mobile. And our speeds aren’t all that different. I got driver ball speed into the mid 170s this year. I’d love to get that higher, but don’t really NEED to.

Almost any body type can produce speed.

Justin Thomas is like 5’3” 125 (exaggerating, but only a little). Hits it a mile.
