Where are you playing this weekend?

Well it looks like I’m going to be home with the kids this weekend, so no golf (except for maybe sneaking out for a Sunday evening super twilight). Help me live vicariously through you. Where are you playing? Anyone have any special rounds planned or some kind of event?

I will play Sunday 1000 at Mt Osmond Golf Club where I am a member. Google it for a video of the course with koalas and the local wildlife. I will play a stroke round for fun. If you play before 1000 you have to play in the comp. Par 70 and hilly with lots of sloping lies with uninterrupted views over Adelaide all the way to the coast.

Wow, sounds amazing! Do the koala’s know to avoid course, so they don’t get hit? That must be some kind of experience.

I “played” at drive shack yesterday.

Warming up as we speak for first tee time out at Shadow Ridge CC here in Omaha. Wife works weekend nights at Children’s Hospital, so early Saturdays are what I get - and I love it. Rest of the weekend will be spent watching football and hitting up the park with my kiddo. May smoke some beef ribs on the Traeger. Who knows!?

Shoot some low ones out there today, everybody!! And for my fellow midwesterners, get out as much as you can while we still can. 85 here today. 60 tomorrow and all next week (which for me is perfect golf weather).

They are mainly sleeping high in the trees but they do wander the course when looking for a new tree. Usually late afternoon but not always. One has walked across the first tee when I have been about to hit. They make loud groaning noises to call for a mate. I have also seen snakes, a deer, a fox, rabbits, ducks, goats and lots of birds on the course. Sulpur crested cockatoos, crows. magpies, plovers, and parrots. One day I was hitting sw from 80m to a raised green and bladed it straight into a ducks neck. My ball still made the green. The duck tried to stand up but couldn’t support it’s head and fell over. The green keeper put it out of its misery. The sanks are brown snakes, one of the most deadly.

Enjoy the round! Those Nebraska autumns could be beautiful, but I could never fully enjoy them because I knew what was coming next

:grimacing: I took out a goose once with a skulled three wood. Worst feeling I ever had on the golf course.
Some day, once travel is possible, the family in I will be heading the Australia (my wife lived there for a few years and I definitely want to visit). Looking forward to golfing while there, maybe the Melbourne sandbelt?

I’m playing in Ohio. This will be my last round in Ohio this year and I will be heading to Florida. The forecast today in Ohio is 80 degrees. I believe Fall weather will hit next week.

Enjoyed this one today. Stress-free 68. Won a bunch of cash, so that will make the wife happy. :joy:

Awesome round! I got one back below par (-1 71) about a month back for the first time in a very long time, but nothing in the 60’s yet.

Busting out the Sunday bag today (and actually on a Sunday) to play an iron only 9. Haven’t done this in a while plus hitting these graphite shafted irons for the first time, so I’m looking forward to it!
