Head got in today… tossing an old aldila blue tour 75x I had in the house into it… should play 43.5 or so…
I’ll probably have to add some weight to the head to get to a decent club weight, but we shall see.
Still not to 100% on my swing, so it’s going to take a month before I have real experience with the idea.
You really gotta get the swing weight right on the shorter and longer shaft, could reduce any potential gains you’d get from either. Typically with the shorter head you’re gonna have to add weight, some people use lead tape.
I’m on it… the club builder and I discussed just dipping the whole thing in lead to get the weight up…
It’s an ultra light head, which is exactly the wrong thing for this application… but if was $50, which was exactly the right price.

I guess what you mean by equipment skills… I have someone else pulling the shaft and putting the new shaft in…
I have a willingness to do dumb experiments and enough basic knowledge of shafts and club builds to make them just dumb enough to work…
We will see how it goes! Should have the club and access to a launch monitor next week to put together some basic starting numbers.
Club is built and I’m hoping I can try it tomorrow on the hole I’m trying to gain advantage on…
The corner is guarded by trees I can’t get over with my regular driver… we will see if a 12 degree does the trick!
Interesting to have that image… I was on the range hitting my 12 degree 250ish, and played this hole on my way home…
I was about where the image above is, so hit it 230-240… height was good and both drives found the fairway…
Thus far it’s not the hole breaker I needed it to be, but the season is young and I think it’s going to be club to add to my bag.
