The Winners of the Contest!

@Bigdadenergy @Gisclairj @papageorgio Just throwing this out there as the lucky ones that will be able to now contribute to the launch monitor discussions & practice challenges. My primary use will be outdoors on the range (no good spot for a net at my house). I don’t know much about all of the features and monitors but in reading @jon review of the PRGR it definitely has good use indoors/into a net. If you’re indoor users and your prize doesn’t meet your needs, happy to swap.

I am so pumped about this! This is going to help me with my game tremendously. Honestly, I was hoping to win the Mavrik driver, but resigned to the fact that I wasn’t going to win anything, and thought the contest was long over. So, I bought a Mavrik last week off of eBay. Turns out this is the best thing that could’ve happened to me! I can’t wait to start tinkering with data and learning the intricacies of my swing and the ball flight it produces. For the analytical side of me, this will help me really understand what’s going on when I’m out practicing. It will also slow me down even more on the range which is a good thing to keep away from my getting into the block practice mentality. I will definitely be sharing the data with this community as it’s the reason I’ll have the data in the first place. Looking forward to better golf and better swings!!! Again, I can’t thank you enough @jon

You’ll love the Mavrik - I bought mine a few months ago and it’s been great, but I haven’t played/practiced enough with it yet so still have a few wild ones that sneak in (at bad times) but definitely more distance and less spin. I have the subzero and like the slightly smaller head than my old M2

Hahahaha. That’s funny :rofl::joy:

It’s like you had a 6th sense on assigning these out!

I’ve been demoing my golf coach’s demo one. We’re slowly fitting me for my clubs and that’s the driver he fit me in. He’s a callaway, mizuno, ping, and titleist rep or at least the golf course is. We tried a few different drivers, I already had a ping g400 and could never really hit it quite right. Tried a few different options and I crush that thing. I actually tried it when it first came out at golf galaxy and hated it, but my swing has evolved since then. I love the way the ball flies off the face and the sound it makes when you hit it in the center. Can’t wait to hook the launch monitor up and see what it says. I swear I hit it 350 every time. I think I’m going to be disappointed. Hahahahaha

Condition neutral on track man when trying it out I was consistent 275 carry with low spin so much more roll than I’m used to.

First hole of club championship (don’t ask questions about the rest of the round) hole played ~10 downhill and slightly downwind and my rough guess of the drive was 340!!! I know it was downhill/downwind/and landed on a small downslope, but still!

I won’t hit driver on that hole anymore since it pinched way too tight at that distance.

Yeah, I’ve definitely seen an increase in distance hitting that club. I have a natural fade so the Max has that heel weight that helps me get the face around and closed a little better. I’ve noticed I’m out driving most of my friends now on a consistent basis. Thought it was just my swing was better but I’m sure it’s a combination of the two because when I go back to hitting my G400 I’m back to a little push fade and not nearly as long.

I’ve got the fade as well but my miss was big slice trying to keep club face square with old bad shaft. Now I can release it with a better shaft so have a bit of a two way miss going at the moment trying to get that release down.

Callaway Drivers are the best. Still swinging my “old” Rogue Sub-Zero. I’ve seen no reason to switch yet.

Wow, thanks @jon. I joined here for the camaraderie, for the sharing of opinions and experiences, for advice. Winning a prize was the last thing on my mind, but I really appreciate it. Thanks so very much!

That’s so cool! Like others have said, it makes it even more special that it seems like you put thought into each prize and matched it up with people’s interests. I know for me I have a lot of interest in putting and have posted a lot about it and here I am with an awesome compact perfect practice putting mat! And I was just thinking how my old putting mat has been a bit lacking. Perfect gift in time for winter! Thanks so much, Jon! Let’s keep it going! I played the best golf of my life on Saturday. Got it to -5 thru 13 holes (then, of course, I got on my own way!). Never been to -5! Thanks everyone!

What a lovely surprise - thank you @jon! Can only echo what others have said, I initially visited out of curiosity as I love the site, but the quality of so many of the contributions is kept me coming back.

You’re going to love the Mavrik. I came real close to going with that in my fitting. Only reason I didn’t is the Speedzone felt and performed like it was made specifically for me. Like Mjolnir to Thor. The Mavrik was really REALLY close. That’s how good it is. It almost replaced Mjolnir.
