Tell us about your ace or heartbreak

25 years, lots of golf, no aces.
At this point, i can no longer see the ball all the way to the green so i probably wont even see it if I’m lucky enough to get one.

Dont get old.

My only ace was a couple decades ago at Holland Hills GC, playing with my BILs. It was a misty, drizzly day. It was the 200 yard 16th hole. Absolutely roped a 3-I to the green, but due to topography, you can’t actually see the green, only the flag stick. It was easy to follow the dew line from impact into the hole. Never saw it actually roll in :man_shrugging:t2:

My wife was unimpressed until she got her ace three years later. All of a sudden, holes in one were a big deal :joy:

My only heartbreak was during the early covid when the course I play had the swim noodle thing so the ball wouldn’t go in the hole. I hit a 9 iron into about a 145yd par 3, landed about 2-3 feet past and pulled back hitting the noodle and settling within 6 inches of the cup. It would have been super close to going in without the noodle but who knows.

I’ve hit the pin a couple of times throughout the years with one tearing out the edge of the cup with the ball mark that almost stove piped in, but that noodle shot was the closest might have been I’ve had so far.
