Stingers...Can You Hit One?

Exactly why I want it, the par 5s (and 4s!) The longer it’s up in the air, the more a 20mph wind screws it up! Thanks for the tip

If you are ever struggling with solid contact just practice hitting stingers.

It gets you flushing it in no time. Low. But flushed.

If you can build club head speed, you’ll be a monster in your category!

Learning to flight the ball is an awesome skill… to hit it lower the basic idea is to deloft the club (my thought is to keep my hands in front of the club)

It’s great for wedge shots and stingers… can add a ton of backspin.

I don’t have one, but I also don’t really have any clubs suited to that shot.

I’ll “knock down” a driver if I need a low running shot. I can pull that off most of the time.

Love watching that flight path… Would love to hit one too!

Sweet of you to say that! Today would be a good day to have a stinger in the bag, going out to golf in 19mph winds. Should be interesting!

I cannot hit one and I have other dragons to slay before I worry about it!

If you put the ball in the back of your stance, won’t this produce the stinger? May not be the best way to get it done but seems like it is effective. Obviously if you have total club face and shaft awareness you can hit the stinger on command without moving it around in your stance, but for a quick effort on a windy day, this seems to work for me.
