Absolutely correct, it’s unlikely but possible. as for having the ball in motion accidentally hit the player, there’s no longer a penalty for that.
Sometimes I use that 2 club lengths behind the blocks. Very useful if you are worried about going over the back of par 3’s

Our club superintendent is 6’4” and 250 lbs. I don’t care what the rule book says, I’m not destroying the tee box.
