Don’t forget that golf is a game of traditions.
Although I’m not a fan of tattoos, it is a personal matter like makeup or weight or attractiveness! Nobody should be commenting on that to you, it’s nothing to do with golf rules and is extremely rude!
I see no value in having a collared shirt versus the many attractive collarless shirts out there! Especially for women.
Does it really matter? Not to me personally but I respect the dress code. Technology has allowed pants and shirts to wick moisture, Nike, Under Armour to name a couple. They are like wearing barely anything.
A dance club won’t let you in with jeans.
The fancy steakhouse won’t let you in without sleeves.
The convenience store won’t let you in shirtless.
The golf course can send you home if you don’t wear the proper attire. Think about metal spikes also? Nobody allows those either really.
My 2 cents haha!
Oh how I miss metal spikes.
I just bought one of those Adidas hoodies Tyrell Hatton has been wearing and pi**ing everyone off in. I will 10000% wear it at my club first chance I get.
It looks great. It’s outerwear. I’m excited.
Let us know how that goes.
One of the best things about golf is that there are places to suit all preferences. There are plenty of course where men in AC/DC t-shirts and tank tops are perfectly acceptable, and courses where even the wrong color belt is an issue. I have no problem with a business establishment making a choice as to what type of attire is acceptable in their facility.
I agree. It is important that golf not be a game exclusive to the elite and well-heeled.
You lost me at sleeve less
Definitely in the “doesn’t matter” camp…with a caveat, nothing with obscene logos or writing, and nothing that shows too much ( this applies to both genders, believe it or not- I saw something on a male player that still haunts me).
Otherwise I don’t give a rip if you have a collar or are wearing denim. You happy? You comfortable? Keeping the pace of play?
Awesome! Have a great round!
And it says Ping, so it was clearly made for golf…
Can I still wear a white belt with my white shoes without being judged??
I remember 10 years ago only Europeans wore white belts. My mom would be watching golf and pick out anyone with a white belt and ask if they were from Europe - the answer was always yes
I love wearing my white belt, I feel like it’s a statement piece!
Not after Labor Day.
