Going On A Quest? Golf Questin'

So what are your quests? Do you want to play world/US top 100? Play all the courses designed by a particular architect? All the courses in Oregon? What is on our list?

For me, I am questing to play all the courses designed by Coore and Crenshaw in North America (half way there!). Also, I have been questing hardcore to play Cypress Point for several years (one day!).

What motivates you to get out there? Let me know!

I have this dream of playing all the domestic courses where Tiger has won - including Augusta (I have an outside chance at this as a buddy of mine’s dad is high up with Coca Cola and has played there a number of times). Also want to play every course they’ve ever played a (British) The Open on.

I want to road trip when my son is older from here to Bandon and play any course in the Top 100.

At this point in life and budget, I’m just motivated by getting out and playing at a decent value. Ten+ years from now, the kids will be off to college/work and I should still be physically able to play my best golf. Maybe that’s when the dream trips will become a reality.

This is a fun one @ReGripped

I’m on a #questforthechampionstour I even made my own hashtag on instagram. I will accomplish this, but it is a lot of hard work, especially because I just started playing golf at 40 1/2. So I have a lot to learn in a short amount of time. I’m well on my way though.

Where do I start…

  1. Get my handicap down to 0.0 --> currently sitting at a 6.3 coming of an ACL surgery. If I can figure out my driver I think I can get there. Ive enlisted the help of DECADE, Accuracy Plan, Strike Plan and Practical Golf. I shot under par 1 time when I was in high school --> would love to get below par and in the 60’s here shortly. I can string 9 holes under par more and more frequently… just need to put it together for 18.

  2. I have a HIT list of my top 10 private courses I would like to get on.

  3. I try and play at least 3 new courses within driving distance a year, 1 new top 100 public in the US and 1 top 100 in the world a year. Just by writing it down and making attempts I have played at some really cool places over the last couple years.

I have been trying to hit all of the Ross courses I can. I love all the old, firm, fast greens and slopes!

I just enjoy playing and experiencing new courses. Love this idea. May have to find a reasonable number of new courses to play each year.

Very lucky to live in North Carolina, where there are so many bucket list courses to check off. I’ve played Sedgefield and Tobacco Road so far, both amazing and very different experiences, and that started my quest to play the top rated public courses in the state & mix in as many of the PGA Tour stops as I can as well. Definitely waiting to lower my handicap before attempting the Pinehurst courses though!

Love this.
I’m planning to buy a caravan next year so I can just pull up to an area and play as much golf as I can. I work from home so why not make the office mobile! I’d love to even just play the top courses in Norway next year, if the borders open then Sweden and Denmark too.
Longer term, I want to play the top 100 public access in the UK and eventually in the US.
Hopefully the world opens up again soon, here in Norway we can’t travel outside the country until at least early next year.

That all sounds amazing. Do you need a planting partner, I might end up divorced if I joined ya, but those places almost sound worth it. Hahahaha
